"My favorite part about being a UX designer is being able to talk to the users and trying to understand where their pain points are. Talking to the users and coming up with ideas that could potentially solve their problems is exciting. I enjoy being able to work on complex problems and trying to simplify these problems into solutions that help the users."

Before I became a UX designer, I worked in a few areas. I worked in event planning. I also worked as a Product Manager. I had to be really detailed and organized and stay on top of the different tasks that I had to handle in order to move the project forward. I feel the skills that I gained from being an event planner, of being very detailed and organized really helped me be successful at UX design.

I got into UX design when I was a student at UCSD. I discovered UX design while I was taking an Interaction Design Class, and we were asked to create a startup idea from start to finish.

My favorite part about being a UX designer is being able to talk to the user group and trying to understand where their pain points are. Talking to the users and coming up with ideas that could potentially solve their problems is exciting. I enjoy being able to work on complex problems and trying to simplify these problems into solutions that help the users.

While designing, I am focused on designing the different connection points going from one screen to another and all the different ways that the app could flow. I really like being able to think about, "I have these findings that I gained from talking to research participants. How do I bring it back into my design?”

It feels amazing to see the work that you did in wireframes in real life, in people's hands.
